Testament has announced their 14th studio album, Para Bellum, will be released October 10th, 2025 via Nuclear Blast. We’ve been waiting a long five years since the release of Titans of Creation for new Testament material. A lot has happened in those years, one of them being Chris Dovas officially joining the band in 2023. After scheduling issues with Dave Lombardo made it difficult for him to continue with the band on tour, Chris filled the spot and made it his own, especially on this new album. The first single “Infanticide A.I” premiered on Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin’s Liquid Metal. I hit that rewind button as many times as the Sirius XM app would let me, I think I got 7 times! It’s so heavy and intense, I wanted to soak it all in.
I’m a photographer, I know nothing about the technical side of music, I can’t read music, I can’t play a single note, and anyone that’s been in the car with me knows I can’t hold a tune to save my life. What I do know is how music makes me feel. Testament has always delivered intense songs with thought provoking lyrics. They have educated me on issues about the environment, government and humanity, or at least given me a different point of view. Practice What You Preach is the album that got me locked in and it will always be my favorite, but they keep producing amazing albums. I went through their entire discography, thinking I’ll highlight my favorite albums but I love them all. Starting with the last release, Titans of Creation, Brotherhood of the Snake, Dark Roots of Earth, Demonic… they’re all my favorites. Testament doesn’t have a mediocre season 3 album. I’m so excited to hear this new album in its entirety, I already pre-ordered my vinyl!

TESTAMENT's Chuck Billy comments, "The new album Para Bellum consists of some fast, heavy and melodic tunes. Once again Peterson has found a way to keep the song writing fresh and modern sounding. It’s gonna be hard to choose what songs to play live cause to many to choose from."
TESTAMENT's Eric Peterson states, "It’s been 5 years since our last record Titans Of Creation was released. Since then, we all waited to get back to it and we all did in a big way! Now our long over due new record Para Bellum is upon us and about to be released in October. We are super stoked and excited to release new blood and fury to you all! With our first single 'Infanticide A.I.' we’re coming out swinging! But with new velocities of fury, while maintaining a balance that we all love and know from a Testament track, enjoy!"
