The Plot In You brought their North American headlining tour to the Anahiem House of Blues on February 22nd! Supporting bands came from around the world as Holding Absence is from Wales, Boundaries is from Connecticut, and Acres is from England!

Acres was up first. They played an unreleased song, “Bloodlust”, off their upcoming album, The Host, which is set to arrive on May 2 via Solid State Records. In October 2024, the band recorded The Host with none other than frontman of The Plot In You, Landon Tewers, behind the board as producer!

Before Boundaries came on, Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” came on and everyone instinctively held up their phone flashlights, swaying their arms and singing. When the band came out, they immediately had real explosive energy and throughout their set kept expressing their gratitude to the fans. They said “You are the reason hardcore survives.” They also expressed how the four walls of House of Blues Anaheim have magic in them and that's so true. Every time we come to this venue it’s such an amazing experience!

In house between set music was interesting playing Sabrina Carpenter, BIllie Eilish, and unfortunately also JoJo Siwa. There were two guys up on the balcony engaging with the crowd for some half time entertaining which was awesome.

The guys from Holding Absence all come from a small town in the mountains of Wales made up of only 20,000 people. Frontman Lucus Woodward said he never imagined being in a room like this and emphasized how grateful they were to stand in it as many time as they have. At the end of their set, bassist Benjamin Elliott made a setlist and threw it out into the crowd. I thought that was super cute and fun!

Before The Plot In You came on, they set up a retro looking Jukebox on stage. The lights flickered and the songs shuffled for awhile before landing on John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” and everyone starting singing along. The band came on stage and opened with their new heavy hits “Don’t Look Away” (which came with a confetti pop) and “Divide.” Frontman Landon Tewers’performs with such raw emotion and powerful delivery. When they played “Forgotten” they brought out David Gunn from King810 to do an on stage collab. Their setlist featured a mix of old favorites and songs from their latest EPs, showcasing their evolution while still staying true to their roots. The encore, included “DISPOSABLE FIX” and closer “FEEL NOTHING.” There’s still a bunch of dates left on this tour so be sure not to miss it!
